James RansomeInterview with James Ransome – Chef to Entrepreneur while completing an Executive MBA at University of Bath, School of Management

It has been a winding road for James Ransome from starting his business 8 years ago with £5000 in his bedroom to a turnover in 2014 of £1 million.

As a chef and a background in hospitality he spotted a gap in the market, where spices rapidly lose their flavor unless regularly refreshed. Home cooking enthusiasts and restaurants have signed up to become customers of this subscription based spice distribution business.

James decided not to take on investment, which has meant he has kept control, which is based in Bristol hiring students to help him grow the business.
