Mission Driven Entrepreneurs Episode 51 - Jane Barrett of the Career Farm
Jane Barrett, host of Mission Driven EntrepreneursI have been asked a few times now to be interviewed for my own show! So I decided to turn the tables on myself and ask my husband to ask me the kind of questions I ask guests. I wasn't allowed to see the questions beforehand so it was off the cuff and slightly nerve racking.

Even after 16 years of doing my own thing I am still learning and that is probably why I still enjoy what I do. I get to meet great people from all around the world who are bright and ambitious and I work with them to take a proactive approach to their career. I have found running my own business can be both exhilarating and slightly scary, not knowing what round the corner - but I wouldn't have it any other way.

We have produced an interview a week now for a year and it was originally a pilot. I've had great fun to do but I want to focus on making the most of the interviews I do and focus more on promoting the content that I am producing. So I have decided to make Mission Driven Entrepreneurs once a month and then also start a once a month podcast for Career Farm dealing with more career development type topics. I hope you enjoy the interview, I have now erased it from my mind as I certainly won't be listening to it again!

What you’ll learn in this episode:

  • What advice I would say to a younger me
  • Why I describe myself as a micro entrepreneur or a life style entrepreneur
  • What is the best thing about what I do
  • The challenges of running the business
  • The journey from surveying to recruitment to career coaching

Favourite Quote:

Everyone has their own specific vocation or mission in life to carry out a concrete assignment which demands fulfilment. Therein they cannot be replaced, nor can their life be repeated.
