In this episode of Mission Driven Enterpreneurs I speak to Stephen Prior, a former headmaster who discovered a second vocation through his Durham University MBA dissertation (a study of environmental economics and carbon emissions trading). His findings - presented at the 2005 UN Climate Change Conference in Montreal - convinced him of the importance of trees in the global effort to deal with the mounting problem of pollution and environmental degradation.

I talk to him about Forest Carbon (the company he co-founded),  the ups and downs of entrepreneurial life and how he got his company off the ground.

In this session you’ll find out about:

  • How he made his career change into carbon from teaching
  • How he has transitioned into working on the business full-time
  • The ups and the downs of entrepreneurship
  • What is the next stage for his business

Success Quote

From his time in Zimbabwe  - more of an expression of a state of mind than a quote. The expression is when things go wrong 'we’ll make a plan.'
