Hi, I’m Jane Barrett, co-founder of The Career Farm and co-author of ‘If Not Now, When? How to take charge of your Career’ published by Bloomsbury. We founded The Career Farm to provide people with a structure for career thinking and the essential resources to help you ‘grow your own career’. Over the years we have put together a team of highly experienced career coaches who specialize in MBA and executive level career development within the corporate sector and top MBA schools across Europe.
My background is in-house recruitment (recruiting MBAs for PricewaterhouseCoopers) and retained search consultancy for blue-chip clients, private companies and start-ups across a variety of sectors including Finance, IT and FMCG.
Originally I started my career as a Chartered Surveyor before re-training as a career coach. In 1999 I founded my first company which grew to be one of the pre-eminent suppliers of careers services and information products to Business Schools across the UK and Europe. In June 2012 I sold my controlling stake in that company to focus on delivering new and innovative online careers programs through The Career Farm.
Our offices are based in the spa town of Harrogate, Yorkshire, in the north of the UK.
If you would like to know more about the services we offer to Business Schools and corporate clients we’d love to hear from you, so please use the Contact page to get in touch.
